RIP my sister my dear akka -Vollakki
21/06 /1930   to 13/06/2013

TO Sunil &Karande family & the Bhatt family

thx for informing re ur mom demise as son as u could
though this is expected to happen to all I personally prayed & thought that GOD give a chance to 'come back ' though for a short time to know that vishwanath had come to see her
anyway I believe that she must have come to know abt it & was very much at peace so she 'let go' almost soon after
she had seen her daughter too & u & chandu bhai was always there
I am glad i came when i did in Feb -for her to recognize me is a reward for me of the goodness of her heart & the love & affection she had for me since i was a kid[I really believe this]She was always there for me when i needed her to depend on
I can not say this honestly where my other elder siblings  r  concerned
She WAS a ICON apart from every one
though i was just 5-6 yrs when i decided to be a doctor I believe in my heart that it was she who i was trying to follow I was a 'happy go lucky 'kid& seeing me she wrote to me that [this is when she was in medical college & we had shifted to Allahabad from Shrilanka] She wrote to me that i should not do do medical as i am not serious & do not study & not hardworking
this 'spurred up' something in nme & I said to myself =how dare she tells me thus while she herself is studying to be a dr' IF SHE CAN THEN I CAN' & I took up the challenge Many a times I know /think that this is the kind of feeling/challenge  she wanted to spur in me!! & was very successful!!
she will always be very dear & next to my heart as long as i live She has been a elder  sister with no comparison
May Her soul rest in Peace
it is very sad to know that she is no more on this earth but I an very grateful to GOD that she was taken very gently & peacefully = as she deserved
She will always live in my heart -as long as my heart beats

to Ring the Bell-crime against women
to ring the Bell we need to Bell the Cat
How do we go around doing this ? to me it is 'to Catch 'em Young Both boys & girls -at the earliest -
right from their earliest education treat then both as equals in every aspect No segregation into boys & girls sitting separately in the class All tasks to be equally shared -Not  this is for boys & this is for girls as the
the boys are supposed to be stronger so this is for them & the girls are supposed to do this as they are not as strong & are more delicate  EQUALITY should be the KEY word for both sexes right from the very beginning.
they should grow up as equals
Sex education too right from the earliest -according to the age & the understanding at that particular age
As they grow up more details -how to be a gentleman & a lady How the gentleman should treat ladies Basic civility cordiality ,respect for each other behavior towards  each other
The home is the first school so the parents also should be involved In our country this is a difficult task as there are so many do's & don'ts for boys & girls also the cast system & still the 'untouchability factor , kids grow up with. this Yard stick before they enter school; So each year when the parents are called to school for parent teacher meetings some of these things should be discussed & also to tell about how their kids are being directed to grow up more mature to help the society
all schools should have a parent teacher association where the teachers & parents can interact & jointly find ways to improve the children & ultimately society
So thats why I think catching them young is very important at a younger age the impressions left r 'unconsciously forever imprinted on the mind & remain in the subconscious for ever

looking  back at my seven decade plus  there are a lot of good /bad & ups/downs  like any other person. It is ones own perception  that makes these as such It is like being perched high up or looking down from the window of the aeroplane & the ground looks full of ants But while coming down for landing miraculously every thing takes a gigantic size Life is such that from my perch at the moment to me I can see ants /& gigantic boulders where there were none at that given moment
